Woody's Song School

Woody's Song School serves children ages 5-18 on the autism spectrum.  The private, nonprofit school is a tuition-based, twelve month, day program.
Woody's Song School helps children with autism increase their skills in the areas of language, socialization and cognitive skills while decreasing behaviors that interfere with their learning.

BIG CHANGES FOR MOBICON XVII

There are some huge changes for MOBICON this year!

FIRST:

MOBICON would like to introduce the chosen charity for MOBICON XVII - Teal Life Foundation. Please visit their Facebook page or their website, http://teallifefoundation.org/ to see how this group helps women in our community. We look forward to working with the Teal Life Foundation!

SECOND - and perhaps the biggest news for MOBICON in 10 years:

The staff of MOBICON has listened to your hotel complaints over the last several years and they have not fallen on deaf ears. We would like to welcome you all to join us in our new home at the Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza Hotel on the weekend of May 23-25th of 2014! This hotel connects directly to the Convention Center and will give us all the room we need to grow over the next couple of decades.

Use the link to place your reservation or when calling be sure to ask for the Mobicon group rate of $85.00 a night.

Fan groups that plan on hosting a promotional event in their rooms should send their reservation numbers along with any questions and requests they may have to hotel@mobicon org so that you can be placed on the Promotional Event Room floor. The hotel does have 8 hospitality suites available however only one is available on the Promotional Event Room floor and will be reserved on a first come/first served basis. Hospitality suites are $150.00 a night and do not include a bedroom so a sleeping room adjacent to the suite must be purchased separately.

MOBICON and The History Museum of Mobile

The History Museum of Mobile has graciously agreed to help MOBICON by handing out flyers during the last week of their exhibition Up, Up & Away: Evolution of the American Comic Book Superhero.

I took a brief walk through the exhibit and would love to see our membership stop by the museum and tour it as well. There are even some local comic book artists on display. 

There is only one week left to view Up, Up & Away: Evolution of the American Comic Book Superhero.
